Net Zero Design
As renewable energy systems and construction technologies advance, creating Net Zero
buildings is no longer a pipe dream; with our help, it can become a feasible reality. The
concept of net zero design is that of a building which is capable of producing at least as
much renewable credits as it consumes in a year, combining exemplary building design to
reduce energy and carbon requirements and renewable energy systems that fulfill those
minimized energy requirements. In essence, net zero design completely replaces the
energy and carbon normally produced from fossil fuel sources with on site renewable
credits.
Buildings that achieve this goal are able to reduce their energy, waste, and water
consumption to nearly zero and negate their carbon footprint on the planet. From a
building developer’s view point, net zero design is even more desirable as it falls under the
umbrella of clean energy and significantly reduces operating expenses while being
certified as a net zero energy building also brings government incentives to the table.
